E plane H plane pattern of an antenna

When I want to analyze E-plane, I look at phi=0 whereas to analyze H-plane, looking at phi=90. However I get minimum gain at phi=0 but maximum at phi=45. How can I call this phi=45 degree as a plane? Is it still E-plane? Thanks in advance
