Drawing performance in IC610 with Linux fglrx video driver

Hi, all

I am running RHEL 5 with the proprietary fglrx(catalyst 10.7) video drivers from ATI.

Since IC610(and above), it is quite laggy when moving around Cellviews, and this problem is not presence in IC5141.

looks like some kind of rendering performance issue to me.

So far, it can only be solved by using the open source driver instead.

Anyone experienced the same problem or had possible solutions?

P.S.: My graphic card is ATI HD3870
