[SOLVED] DPAK heatsink

Hi,
The following heatsink for DPAK says 31K/W....however, on the Fischer site they dont say the airflow conditions etc for that...do you know it?

Normal DPAK RthJA would be about 62degC/W so its amazing these heatsinks arent more popular....heatsink with little manual assembly effort.

Rth is given under ideal convection conditions. It doubles the surface area exposed to open air perhaps assuming soldered to the solderable area.

Suggest to review Aavid board level heatsink catalog as reference. They have similar DPAK heatsinks with full thermal data.
