Downloading programs using bootloader

I used the bootloader from the Microchip website. Modified the firmware for 18F452 and downloaded it into the PIC using IC Prog. The 16/18 Quick Programmer successfully connects to the device and identifies it.

I tried to download a simple program (which works in user mode) to glow an LED. It writes the file to the device. But the LED does not glow.

Does the original needs to be modified? If yes, kindly suggest.
