Doubt with system stability

Hi,
Is a system said to be stable if its phase degrades to 180 degrees before UGB but phase improves (due to a zero) at UGB. If yes what happens to the transient responce. Can some one help me out.

To ensure stability you have to look at both: Phase Margin and Gain Margin and as I understood in ur case the gain margin will be in negative meaning that ur system is unstable.

zero in RHP will degrades PM ,zero in LHP may be not .
