Which Microcontrollers are best for making a single phase transformerless UPS of target specification 3KVA?

My idea is microcontrollers are used for generating control signals. so based on how many control signals required you can choose any 8 bit or 16 bit microcontroller.

Taking the care to manage properly the timing constraints, even an 8-bit uC is able to deal with this job, however depending on how much core processing is required for other tasks ( displaying, communication, etc… ) a higher performance core is suitable. Performing access to look-up table containing already calculated sine values instead of doing that during execution is also mandatory with such platform. Another point is that a microcontroller with an wide set of built in hardware modules is essential to release the core to do that by software

Hi,

I'm currently using STM32F051C8 , Which is a ARM Cortex M0, for controlling and signalling in 10KVA Welding Machine. This type of welding machine is an inverter. Because UPS needs more communication (with PC or ??) and you need to produce Sine wave , I recommend using one of the micocontrollers fromSTM32F334 Family. This is a ARM Cortex M4+FPU (and DSP Functions). Their Peripherals are excellent for this type of work.
According to ST :

The STM32F3x4 product line is specifically addressing digital power conversion applications.
