Doubt in two compiment

A2 complement of a number N means:

A2(N) = ~N +1

Applying to N=000:

Assuming a result magnitude of 3 bits, we obtain 000
Assuming a result magnitude of 4 bits, we obtain 1000

When you do a two's compliment to do a subtraction you normally ignore the carry so the number is just 000
