I purchased this product from robokits **broken link removed** as it was mentioned on the website that it supports At89S8253 chip programming. Before purchasing the product I had emailed and asked whether it supports that chip and they had said yes. After I received the product it was not able to detect AT89S8253 chip and I email them and asked again and now they are telling that AT89S8253 chip is not supported.

So People if you want to program AT89S8253 then don't buy this product **broken link removed**

In other words, good and nice web site, good marketing and bad products ?

Try this simple programmer:

Hi Jayanth,
readymade USB to LPT converters are available @ S P road, Blr. (just looks like USB to serial conv).

If you decide for DIY USB to LPT see this :

Ready made USB to LPT converters designed for printers. I had personally tried 2 of them and cant use them for programming.

The only LPT ports that work are PCI expansion cards like **broken link removed**

I have used a similar card with a Xiling programmer, an Altera programmer and AVR programmer with no problem.
