when it comes to the 45nm design, does magma support CCS model to accurately calculate cell delays, noise etc? anybody knows?

What is CCS model ? Can you please explain this.

regards,
freak

hi vlsi_freak,

CCS model is composite current source model, it is a library type different than NLDM, nonlinear delay model, NLDM library is pretty old type library, calculates the cell delay by input transition and output load of the cell, while CCS library is current based, and the cell delay calculation is much accurate than NLDM library when the design technology is 45nm and below.

Regards

yes, magma tools support CCS (and ECSM too) model for timing power and noise
