divide clock by 2.5

CAN ANYONE TELL ME HOW TO DIVIDE CLOCK BY 2.5 using digital circuits?e.g FF etc
 

Design a circuit which can work on both edges of clock.
TAke a counter which works on both edges.........

it should be a mod 5 counter.........


clock 0 1 0 1 0 1 0 1 0 1 0 1 0 1 0 1 0 1 0 1
count 0 1 2 3 4 0 1 2 3 4 0 1 2 3 4 0 1
o/p 0 1 1 0 0 0 1 1 0 0 0 1 1 0 0 0 1



Now...............U please post the design ................it would be better if you share your answer.......
 

There is a document by name CLOCK DIVIDERS MADE EASY here itself in this sub-forum...........

it has a lot os clock dividers and you can easily understand so.........

i have a question here,

what is the a circuit have 50% duty cycle? it is could be others duty cycle like 40% @ 100%?

any explanation will be much appreciate!

Please post your query Clearly.
 

When you divide by real numbers like 2.5, the duty cycle will not be 50%.
