Hi all,
I am working on a PCB. I would like to panelize it without using the panelizing tool of Altium, just with copy and paste. When I do that, the Altium alter components' designators and add module number to the end of the component number. for example, C1 become C1-1 My question is how can I disable this?

Thanks

You cant, how can any PCB have two C1... You can only panelise the output of any PCB design package.

Hello Kappa_am, Alexsander from Altium here. What you're doing is "not allowed". What i mean is that Altium Designer thinks your manually creating a multi-channel design which is why you have "C1-1". If you would like to panalize try using an embedded board array. If you have more technical questions or concerns I suggest contacting support, they're a great group of guys and gals.

I found it! very easy! Edit-Paste Special-Duplicate designators. A Persian proverb says: who is exploring will eventually find what they are looking for.
