Hi,

i read couple of design application notes on dipole antenna. All these dipole antennas are feed with differential line input to antenna.
So for dipole antenna only work with differential line? what if i have single ended line how to i feed it to the dipole antenna. how the connection look like.
thanks.

can i connect one of the dipole arm to single ended input and there other end to ground?

Yes, but that's not "clean" and if you have some length of line between the antenna, it will be part of the radiating structure and sensitive to the environment. In one my projects, I tried that but it was just to sensitive to anything near the (long) coax feedline. I then created a lumped element balun from SMD elements (L and C) and the problem was solved. The lumped element balun was similar to this: https://analog.intgckts.com/impedance-matching/lumped-lc-balun/
