Hi all,

Can you help me to define the main advantages and disadvantages in differential and quasi differential design?

I mean, for example, if there is a differential bipolar amplifier and:

1) its emitters are connected to ground, doesn't matter if there is any degeneration or not - its quasi differential design.

2) its emitters are biased - differential design.

What is the main advanteges of the pure differential design? Because, for the both cases there are doubled swing and high immunity against supply and substrate noise.
