Hi,

a differential GPS receiver shall have a GPS channel and a correlation signal channel which ofen lies in kHz region. Does it mean such receivers must have two separate antennas?

Yes, the satellite GPS signals are in the region 1.25GHz to 1.6GHz but the differential signals are at much lower frequencies, typically around 300KHz. It is impractical to have one antenna covering such a wide range. For the differential signal, a ferrite rod and wound tuning coil are more appropriate, especially as it makes a compact receiving arrangement and the coverage distance range normally only has to be a few Km.
