Hi all,

I have one choke circuit for a UV tube of 8W. A UV tube is connected by connecting the 2 ends(of the total 4) to a capacitor and the remaining ends to the circuit.
Now when I measure the current through the UV tube across one end(multimeter connecter in series across that end point and the circuit point) , I get 85mA current. However when I just interchanged the terminals of a multimeter, I get 195mA current. Why such difference when I measure the current across same points?
Help needed.
Regards,

I guess, it's an high frequency inverter rather than a choke and the multimeter can't measure the current correctly.

^ Its a UV ballast circuit.
