c and Embedded C

There is no difference.
Embedded just means that the program is targeted at a stand alone application, such as a washing machine, as opposed to a pc with an operating system.
The embedded program runs alone without support of an operating system. The program is embedded in the device.
C is C! The syntax and libries are the same.

Re: c and Embedded C

Hey man ! don't get confused .... there is no difference between C as well as Embedded C,
only most of the Embeeded system coding does in workspace environment that's where it is different in platform ... otherwise both are 100% same .

Ok.... Bye!

c and Embedded C

Essentially the above is correct. However C compilers for embedded use tend to come with a pre built library's of functions/header files to suit the chips being supported. Not all compilers conform to the Ansi standard though. Also due to chip memory restraints there are limits to full compatibilty with mainframe C compilers.
