Difference between STM32 and lpc2148

i am using lpc2148 processor and keil compiler. but i also saw STM32 series controller's are also used.
what is difference between them. I don't know nothing about STM32 controller's.
and which controller will be more efficient.

According to Benchmark presented bellow on 48MHz, ST32 performs better code size efficiency, and lpc2148 performs better CPU speed processing, considering that it can be clocked up to 60MHz:
