hi can anyone please let me know the difference between MEMS and IC.. i mean isn't mems same as an IC where we integrate all the blocks in one chip.. what is the main difference.. can u pls give an example for both. please help

A traditional integrated circuit has only electrical activity,
or at least you'd like it to be so (piezoresistive and microphonic
effects can sometimes bug). Nothing moves relative to the die
attach plane.

MEMS has some form of mechanical activity, as well as
electrical. Hence the acronym. Although many MEMS designs
are not what a sensible person would call a "system".
