Can anybody please tell me what is the difference between mapping and comparison in LEC???

Mapping is a step that needs to be done before you start / begin with comparison.
This is a key step as during this step there will be compare point identified between your golden and revised design agaisnt which it will be validated.

Once the mapping is done, the comparison begins.

mapping is the process to decide what to compare.
