Difference between lumped ports and waveports??

Hi,

Can any1 tell me why we prefer lumped ports in microstrip structures. as problem can be solved with waveports as well.
And what exactly is the difference between these two?

hope to hear reply.
 

You need to read the following file "port_tutorial_lump_v_wave.zip" (.ppt). It was posted many times here...
