difference between gmsk gfsk

the difference between MSK and FSK is that MSK is minimum binary FSK which means using two symbols '1' & '0' and choosing two carriers to represent each each symbol "which is done in BFSK", the difference is that the carrier frequencies in MSK are chosen so that they have minimum separation while maintaining the CPFSK "continous phase FSK" (i.e. when we alter the symol and hence the freq. the phase doesnt become discontinous , which has obv. adv. in dec. BW) also the minimum sepatation "band" is kept so that we have no ISI.

disadvantage gmsk

frequency spacing in GMSK is 1/2 of frequency spacing in GFSK.

increase isi gmsk

general, MSK is a FSK signal , the space of two frequency is 1/2T

Re: GMSK and GFSK

Hi every body

I'm looking for symbol error probability of Gfsk,I would appreciate if you help me. I need a close form based on SNR.

best regards.
