Difference between pic 18f87k22 and 18f8722

hi,

I want to change my controller 18f87k22 to 18f8722, due availability.
Anyone tell me the difference between these two controller?
can i use 18f8722 with my code which is on 18f87k22?

Hi,

Just look at the datasheet for the two chips and you will soon see the differences.

Your code will probably work with some modification to the Config and Osc settings.
Also check for any system register differences.

You need to pay attention to the hardware differences that may affect your design, 10bit v 12 bit adc, port drive currents etc etc

first of all thanks for reply,

i didnt use adc, dac on chip peripheral except SPI and USART
i use internal oscillator @16Mhz with x4PLL enable
also i found there is some difference in Timer1 registers T1CON

it is so difficult to compare two datasheet
do you any good source to compare these two controller

Why do you want to compare all the features. Just compare the registers used in your current code with the registers of the new device you want to use.

There is no easy way ..

Documents like this may help you locate the areas of difference, but basically you still need to check all those points mentioned , particularly the system registers and the hardware features.
