how to determine the operating modes of a designed patch antenna in hfss?

The eigenmode solver in HFSS is great for determining a structure's supported modes. In general, the structure should be closed (or contain periodic boundary conditions), but for a patch antenna, PMCs on the side walls should be a sufficient first-order approximation.
