detecting wireless network?

by scanning for frequencies where the power level is high.... it is just like tuning into an FM provided the signal is not wideband... if it wideband then it is hard...

when u r transmitting at a particular frequency then the energy at that particular frequency would be high than the nearby frequencies....

suppose a wideband modulation technique is used then the power of the signal would be transmitted over varying frequencies of huge difference... so it would be hard to hack those signals...
