Designing of digital filter

Dear All,

I need to design a digital filter and i've only following specification

1) The signal bandwidth is 5 MHz
2) The input signal is sampled @ 7.86 MHz

Kindly suggest how to derive cutoff frequency to this filter.

According to Nyquist criterion, the maximum input signal frequency component and also characteristic filter frequency must be below fs/2, presuming a baseband design.
