hi

how a simple R-C network can be designed to give 90 degrees phase shift between input and output ?????????????

Connect in high pass mode. Select the components such that the pole is atleast 10 times higher than the signal frequency. You should get 90deg phase shift. Be careful about the cap at the load.
As the high pass enhances high frequency noise, you may need to have a filter prior to this circuit.
