i would like to build a gas flow meter and add to it i would like to measure temperature of the gas flowing too.

Hi FVM please guide me in this as i am very new in this world of flow.
what i want to design it's a device that can detect the gas flow of oxygen from a gas bottle to the airway of a patient.so i want to know how i can pick up the flow signal.which type of sensor should i use and how does it work.
