generate sdf for pt

Q1 How to use DC to generate .sdf from .db(come from Foundry)
if use "write_sdb -output top.sdf"
==> DC show error message ( -outpur only support by PT)
Q2 Need and constrain when generate SDF?????

Try using PT to do this!
 

dc sdf

in dc, use write_sdf -version 2.1 top.sdf.
btw, you can consult sold for more infomation.

JesseKing is right . use write_sdf -version to write out sdf file.
 

The syntax is
>write_sdf [-version sdf_version]
[-significant_digits digits]
[-instance inst_name]file_name

what different between write_sdf and write_timing??
 

USE PT ,
AS DC will not consider wire load model into effect ,
This may cause problem in POST LAYOUT simulation.
