hi, i hv ULN2803A darlignton array.
simply i just want to connect 16F877A PIC and a LED using a darlignton array
i checked the datasheets. bt i cant understand how to connect
czn any one help me to do this please?
cz im stuck in this :( Untitled.jpg

Connect in the shown configuration. When you provide high from PIC's pin respective LED will glow since ULN2803 inverts the signal at the output.
Use 1.2K Ohm resistor if you want to give +12V to the leds. Also use +12V at common terminal of ULN2803 in this case.

Thanks

The COM pin is just the supply for the internal flywheel diodes which are only useful for inductive loads, for leds you don't have to connect it since it doesn't serve any purpose (still not a problem if you connect it)

Seriously Gapoo what is the role of diode D1 in Gapoo's circuit?
