cutoff frequency and unity gain frequency

I saw notions that:
ft :
transition frequency,cut-off frequency,unity gain frequency.

Are they the same frequency?
In my understanding, cut-off frequency should be 0.707 of maximum and UGF is when current gain=1.

And how are the considerations of this frequency(if they are the same) in linear or nonlinear circuits for designing?
