In circuit sage's document about bandgaps, (see ), it mentions that there is some current mirror type of start-up. I know I have seen that type of circuit before and I believe that it doesn't use any comparator or inverter to do the start-up operation, but I don't remember how it is.

Does anyone know how this circuit is? Can anyone post a reference and/or drawing, please?

Thanks
