crystal oscillator of 89C2051

Hello friends!

I have connected VCC AND GND to µC 89C2051, connected power on reset ckt (10µF & 8.2k resistor)as well as the crystal with 33pF capacitor (as per the datasheet)but still i m not getting the output from crystal (i.e. any waveform on the crystal pins). i have also connected 100nF across Supply to eliminate ripple presnt if any.

The reset value at port pins are also not high as expected.

suggest some remedy to the problem

Without oscillations you can't expect anything ..
Did you say: 33pF capacitor - there shoud be two of them at both sides of the crystal ..
And double check all connections ..
