Hello.
What would be the cost difference of the above?....4 layer with all through-board vias. (no blind or buried vias)
Twice as much cost for 4 layer PCB?..Roughly?

2 layer is very cheap. I pay $12.00 for 10cm x 10cm x 10 boards PTH 1.6 green HASL top and bottom silk screen, 5 days $9.00 postage

is 4 layer twice as much cost as 2 layer, or less than twice as much?

there is big difference between 4 layers and double layer,
because double layer is common, and widely used,
4 layers will be around twice the cost of double layer

Your all talking about the "price" you pay for the board.

The cost in not having a 4 layer as opposed to a 2 layer can be something entirely different (depending on the circuit design & layout) :p

Dear Treez,

Generally, 2 layers PCB without complicated graphic and normal trace width and via diameter,
the price will be very cheap. Like 90USD/square meter.
And 4 layers is not totally twice as 2 layers.
But the premise should be the design it within fabricator's capability.
If not, the price will be much higher, all depends on the design.
