Can i use MAX485 IC to convert Differentia data from USB port to TTL data for interfacing with Micro-controller.

Regards

Re: USB to TTL converter

Hi,

Doubt it, its not a usb device.

You can buy usb to USART / TTL micro compatible cables for a couple of dollars on ebay, why struggle ?

@wp100: read more carefully the question

@saurav_sdpl: you can make the interface, well, quite ea easily. You will need the FT232RL and MAX485 (or SN75176). Schematics easily obtainable on line.

Unless the original poster means something different from what he's asking for, I think, wp100 read it exactly.

Re: USB to TTL converter

Dear Saurav,

You can't use directly since those differential are a communication protocal signals

By interfacing usb signals to FT232 from FTDI or silabs CP2101 you get ttl from there you can connect to MAX485 or 75176B

For further details you can send mail to me sreekanthr.ele@gmail.com

Back to the topic: Only FT232RL with little of "salt" 10n and 100n capacitors.
