Controlling Dot matrik using SRAM..????

Hi all,

How to use SRAM as store pattern for dot matrix display, usually i use column scanning method. What is the advantage if i use SRAM than scanning method?

SRAM is volatile memory so all data will be erased when you power off the circuit. You must have microprocessor/microcontroller to program the SRAM again or you can use EPROM or EEPROM.

SRAM is faster than EPROM or EEPROM.
