Connect Nokia with Pic Using AT command

Hi everybody ...
i begin to build my project send/recieve SMS using Pic 16f877, i tested my phone nokia 6230 using Hyperterminal to send/receive SMS with AT command, it worked good, but my phone is USB
If someone know how to connect correctly the Nokia 6230 via rs232
please let me know.

Note: i tried to connect my phone to Serial port (Rx->Data+ and Tx-> Data-) and send AT command but my phone didn't response with OK,do i need USB to Serial converter ?
 

me too have the same problem....i used an RS232 to USB converter with an external power source(since it is USB powered) but no positive result.kindly help.......

All right - what kinds of RS232 to USB converters are available at your place?
 

MAX 232 for RS232 pic to pc communication
FT232 for pic to pc communication
 

can anyone give me the code for the above nokia cell?I am short of time to write my own.Thanx in advance
