i have recently started working on fpgas, now i have gone through basics of configuration modes but i didnt get how i am going to configure fpga i.e for example INIT should go high for intializing the configuration process but how am i going to make this happen where should i write it, in the main code or after generating bit file.
i am utterly confused, help me.

Harinisas,

First of all you have not mentioned the FPGA/Device/Family that you are using, so please specify. Every FPGA has set of user guides that you can read and use to know how to configure their FPGAs. Go through following link if you are using spartan-6 from Xilinx:
https://www.xilinx.com/support/documentation/user_guides/ug380.pdf

Here you will find the answer, actually configuration pins are normally not coded, you need to connect them on PCB board itself.

Thanks,
Fpgadsgnr
