Hi,
I'm referring the book "Building Wireless Sensor Networks" by Robert Faludi, to learn about XBees. In the book, the author is using some old version of the XCTU software and I can't figure out how to configure the XBees as described in the book. Specifically, setting the class of radio modem and configuring the coordinator radio and router, in AT command mode.

Can someone please help on how to do this in the newer version?
Screenshots would be great.

which XBee are you using?
have to downloaded the latest XBee documentation from Digi?

Hi,
I was able to update the firmware, but I am stuck in the communication phase. I can't get the XBees to communicate.
I tried following the instructions on this page: **broken link removed**

Everything works fine upto Step 3: Sending Serial Data
Can you suggest what might be the cause of the issue.. (I'm using XBee S2 Regular)

I think you need to make it clear you are using Arduino boards as it may be a problem with the Arduino

we tended to use Digi development boards or our own PCBs built for particular projects
are you using AT or API modes? we always used API mode for extra flexibility

have you had a look at the Digi XBee tutorials

also a web search turns you plenty of links
