Hi,

First of all: no, i don't think it will fail, because the max average current is limited by the 100k pullup.

But... for a short time you exceed the "absolute max specifications". If it really fails, you have to blame it on your design.
I recommend to use a current limiting resistor of 150 ohms.
If the delay of 150us is a problem, then use 100nF, 1Mohms, 150R.
