Hello,

Im desperately trying to understand the basic principles of class AB amplfiiers.

Internet searches have thus far not been hugely fruitful. Can
anyone recommend good books / sites / papers which explain the operating
principles of AB amplfiers.

Attached Document will help. You should be well aware of basics of Biasing a transistor before you read this. All the classes are well explained here.

Really what Im looking for are design guidelines for implementing a class AB output stage of an op-amp in CMOS.

... any other suggestions?
