Hello,

I'm designing a simple circular polarized square patch with truncated corners. It is supposed to be a simple design, but I can't get it work. The axial ratio is awful (is linearly polarized antenna). I tried different size of truncated corners but it isn’t working. Please, can you take a look at my design and tell me what am I doing wrong? It is a square patch on air substrate, designed in HFSS.

Thanks

Ok, I looked at HFSS Antenna Design Kit. There is a circularly polarized GPS antenna. But, the Ariax Ratio is good for Theta = 90deg, shouldn't it be for Theta = 0deg? Isn't Theta = 0deg direction of the main lobe?
