hello.
i need free running mode diagram for ADC 0808 with 10k potentiometer..
plz help me in this regard...
i just want to check whether my ADC is working or not...

if yes than at which pin should i connect my Pot....

ad0808 circuit

Into analog input wire your pot cursor, for the other two pin of the pot wire one to +5V and one to 0V that's all. Of course isn't really the best solution, may be better put a operation amplifier as unity gain buffer but I think that also in this way you should be able to see somethings.

About clock you can generate it by using a common NE555 timer ic.

I have got the Ne555 timer circuit...i need to generate 500KHz clock
for ADC0808...what resistor Ra,Rb and Capacitor C value should i take?????
