Check my LCD connection with PC's printer port

hi
i found this circuit and i would like to connect a 16X2 LCD module
i want to make sure if the connection is correct or not
coz i have seen people connect rs pin of the lcd to the parallel *16*

Hi,

Are you interfacing the LCD to microcontroller or PC?

hi
i want to use this to connect the lcd module to my pc
thru printer port
and then
write a programme to control it
as for me , i am very new to PICs
at the moment i do not know how to connect a LCD module to a pic
hope someone can tell me if the connections between the lcd and the printer port are correct
