regarding fpga emulators

Hi

Has anybody worked with FPGA emulators? i came across how "Veloce" (fpga emulator from mentor Graphics) is being adopted by many companies. wanted to know how this compares with Precision Synthesis from Mentor. Any information on this?

precision synthesis is a software synthesis tool
Veloce is an hardware emulation tool comprising FPGA's to mock asic designs.
