Changing parameters on lcd through keypad???[IMP]

I want to whether there is a algorithm to change parameters on lcd using keypad..

actually i have to provide some feature in my project... which includes changing Ip Address..

I am using Wiznet Ethernet Module, which is nothing serial to Ethernet converter module..
Data sent through serial port will go to Ethernet..

When we send Serial Command +++ it gives back <E>

Initialization Command

When we send <RI> it returns <S192.168.11.2> Ip address.

Which after formating is printed on LCD Display. as 192.168.11.2

Now i have to change the IP Address through keypad...

So i am having confusion how to do so...
Because i don;t know how to approach on this..

Some Times IP address is 192.168.111.102

Can any one help me regarding this thing..
