Hi,
I'm a total newcomer to the world of electronics and in need of some advice.
I have a Future Kit 936 4 Digit digital counter.
I have assembeled the kit no problem and all is fine with the 4 digit display.
I need to change the display to a 2 digit as the display will be mounted away from the board and has to be 2 digits.
I know I will lose some of the functuality of the counter but it only needs to count down from 95.
Can anyone offer advice on how to connect the 2 digit display in place of the 4 digit.

The 4 digit display that came with the kit has 14 pins whereas the 2 digit has 18 pins.

Thanks in advance

That’s not so complicated, but you need to provide the code for the new 2 digit display…

u can also ground the 2 digit that are not needed..

No, no way. You may suggest disconnecting the common anode on the first and second digit (pin 1,2 from the T1, T2 bipolar transistors, and that’s just in case he need to keep the old 4 digit display).
