Hi,
The atatched (LTspice sim and jpeg) demo's how bad GDT's are with series caps in the secondary side.
At the start and end of the pulse train , the dreadful problems are easily seen.

I am wondering why no-one has come up with offtheshelf , gate drive hi-side supplies for offline PSU's?....they provide the defacto, gauranteed method for problem free gate drive....all the user would need would be to use a digital isolator to send the gate signal to the hi side gate driver.
