Capacitor, 470nF, 400V connect directly to 220V/50Hz wall outlet?

I want to make a SMPS Power Supply circuit.

I want to examine part by part of the circuit separately.

Is it possible to connect this capacitor directly to 220V/50Hz wall outlet and
into the mass?

Every part on the primary side could be dangerous for you to play with until you learn more.
Two of these might be safer. Also custom transformers are hard to source in small qty and it needs a good mechanical design with high air velocity over the hot spots.

Thank you for the answer.
If I decide to buy it can somebody at this Forum turn it to be voltage adjustable.
If I decide to buy it I would send it to address of some electrical enginner firstly to integrate a variable resistor to make it adjustible.
If You or somebody accept it?

Thank you
I did not see it but there is no mentioned in specification that it is adjustable.
Or maybe I did not read well.
