this is a boost converter : the output voltage will be higher than the input voltage, it is also called step up converter

What is that ? homework ? i hope that is not a homework with this title : find the name of that circuit . where did you see that ? i guess where you found it there was a name below that isn't it ?
Furthermore m i believe if you have a bit search on google image search you could easily find the name of that circuit .
