micro controller

can we replace AT mega AVR micro controller by some other controller serving the same purpose in land rover(cell phone operated)

YES sure u can replace, depending on ur requirments, if u found another controller like PIC or another ATMEL which satisfy ur requirmets go ahead friendo

8051 is easy,but u can say it is not some very hifi microcontroller,it is good to learn basics of controller but pic is the best

I think there is no micro with same pinout as AVR

If you change the micro u have to alter the hardware also
